Visit by the Embassy of Canada at SweTree

We had the pleasure of welcoming Canada's ambassador Robert Sinclair for a visit to SweTree Technologies on March 12. During the visit, we showed some of our innovation projects as well as our automated pilot plant for large-scale production of elite plants using somatic embryogenesis, where plants with both increased growth and resistance to pests and diseases can be produced quickly and cost-effectively. We had a good discussion about the opportunities this can provide to strengthen forests, forestry, and the bioeconomy in both Sweden and Canada, as well as the many similarities between our countries. A big thank you to the embassy delegation for the rewarding conversations and for a genuine interest in our operations. We look forward to continued dialogue and potential collaborations with Canada in the future!
