SweTree Technologies har av den engelska tidningen The Guardians expertpanel blivit utvalt som ett av Europas 100 mest lovande 'Cleantech' företag.
SweTree har blivit valt för sitt fokus på att utveckla ny teknologi för att öka tillväxten och värdet i träd och träfibrer, inte minst för energibruk. När behovet av träfibrer ökar för dagens användningsområden och börjar användas även för morgondagens, kommer bolagets teknologier vara oehört viktiga för att kunna ha tillgång till denna förnybara råvara i tillräcklig mängd samtidigt som odlingen kan ske på ett miljövänligt sätt.

A majority of the current shareholders , Sveaskog, Woodheads, Bergvik Skog, the The Kempe Foundations and Holmen are also involved in the share issue. This new funding will strengthen the company for investments in business areas such as plant nutrition, directed tree breeding and fiber modification

Mendel Biotechnology and SweTree Technologies extend their collaboration to jointly exploit the value of more than 100 genes in forestry.
STT and Mendel announced today that they will jointly exploit the value of over 100 selected transcription factor (TF) genes to be used within the $750 billion forestry field. The collaboration includes a research effort to validate Mendel TF genes for the forestry field as well as a commercial effort to advance identified products.

SweTree Technologies AB announces that their new share issue of 50 mSEK has been fully subscribed for by Sveaskog AB, Bergvik Skog AB, Holmen AB and the Foundation "JC Kempes Minne".
