Modify cellulose fibers and surfaces to obtain desired properties in new materials.
The fiber modification area within SweTree has recently been spun-out into a separate company called Cellutech AB. It’s focus is to commercialize inventions originating from the Wallenberg Wood Science Center (WWSC) which is situated at KTH in Stockholm and Chalmers in Gothenburg. Cellutech is aiming to develop new materials based on cellulose. The main owners of Cellutech are the senior scientists of WWSC, SweTree, FAM (Foundation Asset Management) and Stora Enso. More information on Cellutech can be found on their web site at www.cellutech.se.
